Frågorna fortsätter att strömma in. Fråga på gott folk, här de senaste frågorna:

1. Sonia undrar om jag har någon svensk flagga på vagnen eller tröjan?

Svar: Nej, jag har medvetet varit försiktig med att skylta med sådada symboler, kanske kan det reta någon. Annars talar jag gladeligen om att jag är svensk. Jag har heller ingen skylt på vagnen, typ "Coast to coast". Men kanske dyker flagga och skylt upp när jag får vittring på Virginia!

2.JB undrar varför det skulle vara en nackdel att ha stötdämpare på en joggingvagn.

Svar: Här är jag kanske ute och cyklar men jag tror att stötdämpare på vagnen gör att lite av kraften går ner i backen och inte framåt varför det är bättre att ha en vagn utan stötdämpare. Rune Larsson skrev i alla fall så en gång, vill jag minnas.

3. Bose undrar vilket som är mitt längsta löppass utan rast.

Svar: Det vet jag inte, men kanske har jag sprungit 4-5 mil utan att ta en längre matpaus. Kortpaus, d vs stopp för vätska och frukt m m tar jag ofta, ibland var tionde minut. Eftersom det är så varmt måste du dricka hela tiden. Normalt är jag piggast på morgonen då jag också springer som längst utan stopp, kanske 40-60 minuter. Har funnit att det dock är viktigt att dricka så tidigt som möjligt, väntar jag kan vätskan bara ligga och skvalpa i magen och svettningen kommer inte riktigt igång.

4. Lena undrar vad som ligger bakom beslutet att ta en sådan utmaning som jag gjort.

Svar: Främst frihetskänslan. Och så tycker jag det är så fantastiskt roligt att springa .

5. Göran undrar hur jag undviker skavsår i vätan och om skorna inte blir förstörda när det regnar.

Svar: Regn och svett ger lätt skavsår. Sluppit dem på fötterna men däremot fått dem på insidan av låren, besvärligt efterrsom det svider så hemskt. Har haft skavsårsplåster men de ramlar lätt av, vanliga plåster går inte alls. Smörjer också in med cortison och fet kräm och just nu är det lugnt på skavsårsfronten. Skorna skadas däremot inte av vätan. Brukar skölja upp dem då och då för att de inte skall lukta.

6. Kalle undrar hur jag kom på vilket skomärke som är bäst för mig.

Svar: Jag började med Brooks 1982 och på den vägen är det. Ren tillfällighet att det blev just det märket men Brooks var först på marknaden med en modell som motverkade pronation, sedan följde andra märken efter med sina egna system. Fördelen med att hålla sig till samma märke kan vara att storlekarna inte varierar. Jag har under alla åren haft stl 8 1/2 och jag behöver egentligen inte prova skorna, jag vet att storleken alltid är den rätta. Om Brooks skulle vara bättre än andra märken låter jag vara osagt, däremot har dom alltid en billig modell och det är den jag köper i Sverige.

7. Malin undrar om jag använder pannlampa eller annat lyse när jag springer på kvällen?

Svar: Där träffade du en öm tå! Nej, bara reflexväst. Det är inte bra, jag skall köpa några små diodlampor att sätta bak och fram på vagnen. Försökte hitta sådana i dag men misslyckades. Skall annars försöka undvika att springa på kvällarna.

8. Ola undrar hur lång tid det tar att cykla den rutt jag valt?

Svar: Jag gissar att en bra motionscyklist gör det på tredjedelen av tiden, alltså cirka en månad om man cyklar drygt 15 mil om dagen.

9. Martin undrar om det inte blir "fasligt tajtigt" att springa enbart på highways?

Svar: Nej, inte alls. Naturen varierar hela tiden, men visst finns det partier som kan vara enformiga. Highways har fördelen att de är asfalterade och har vägren. Hittils har de heller inte varit så hårt trafikerade. Rent praktiskt är highways också bäst eftersom de är "genast". Skulle jag ut på småvägar riskerar jag bara att villa bort mig, dessutom kan jag inte springa på grusväg med vagnen och jag vill också ha samhällen så tätt som möjligt så jag kan äta. Tjatigt är däremot att springa på Interstate (motorväg) vilket jag kunnat göra i Idaho och Wyoming.

10. Peter N undrar vad jag menade när jag skrev att jag hade olika skor för att minimera skaderisken.

Svar: Jag har två par skor med mig och försöker att ha olika modeller av pronationsskor, däremot har jag inte en för pronation och en för neutral löpning. Just nu har jag dock samma modell, Brooks Adrenaline, dammodell. Man kan också växla mellan herrr- och dammodell, dagram för att inte bli stel som en pinne efter dagens löpning.mernas är lite smalare i framfoten.

11. Peter M undrar om jag har något nedvarvningsprogram för att inte bli stel.

Svar: Nej, jag har inga problem med det. Stretchar inte ens. Däremot brukar jag börja dagens pass med att gå kanske 10-15 minuter. Ofta har det varit så att jag lagt på ett extra kol mot slutet av löpningen bara för att få det hela så snabbt undanstökat som möjligt. Fast det är inte alls bra, bäst är att avsluta gående.
